Ordering A Cake
For wedding cakes it is recommended that you contact us at least 3 months before the big day to secure your booking as we may be very busy during wedding season (September to March). For other cakes please contact us at least 10 days before the required date. Short notice orders on cupcakes and some cakes are subject to availability.
Cake Design Agreement
Once you have contacted us we will work with you to create a design that suits you via email. Our website allows you to upload up to 3 photos that you might be inspired by. We will work to incorporate these inspirations into a personal design for you. However, due to copyright reasons and the love of creating something personal for my clients we cannot copy someone’s design. You will be provided with a sketch of the cake design and a firm quote and once agreed upon, you will be required to sign a cake agreement form and pay a 30 % deposit of the total cost of the cake.
Deposit And Final Payment
To begin cake production, we require the full payment 2 weeks before the required date. A 30% deposit of the agreed cake design is required before commencement of cake production
Final payment 1 week prior to pickup or delivery
If you decide to cancel your order within 7 days from the date your order was placed we will refund the deposit amount. After this time deposit will not be refunded. For short notice orders (up to 10 days prior to the event) the deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation.
If in the event that Destination Cake are unable to supply the order on the agreed date due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel the order and will provide you with a full refund.
Our standard cakes contain fresh eggs, milk and other allergen products which are baked in the same kitchen as out allergen-free cakes. While we take care not to cross-contaminate these products, we cannot guarantee that they will be allergen free. When ordering, purchasing and consuming our products, you are doing it at your own risk.
Please be aware that our products may/could contain traces of nuts and it it’s the clients’ responsibility to inform guests that traces of nut may be present. Destination Cake will not be held responsible for anyone suffering from nut allergies.
The cake decorating process may require the use of non-edible items. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that all non-edible items are removed before serving. Destination cake will not be held responsible for injuries caused by consuming non-edibles.
Pickup & Delivery
Destination cake will not be held responsible for damages that may occur after the pickup, delivery and set-up. Destination Cake will not be held responsible for damages caused while being delivered or set up by a third party.
Privacy And Personal Information
When ordering a cake, you may be required to provide personal information which may include you name, postal address, email address and other contact information. We will strive to maintain our clients’ privacy.
Payments can be made via direct bank deposit or Electronic Funds Transfer or using credit card (visa or mastercard only). Personal cheques will not be accepted.
